Uncover your truth within
Hypnosis
The human mind is unthinkably powerful. But, we tap into only a small part of it most of the time: the conscious mind. While the conscious mind takes lead in analysis and reasoning, our subconscious — the limitless part of our minds that stores memories, emotions, and habits — is where the truest version of each of us lives.
Hypnosis lets the conscious mind rest so that we can more easily access and reframe our subconscious truths. This normal and natural state can empower you to overcome
painful traumas, rid yourself of unwanted habits, reduce stress and anxiety, and reach your goals quickly and easily.
At Pure Ritam, our holistic healing approach reconnects you with the state of love, creativity, and joy you were born to experience. During our personalized hypnosis sessions, we’ll discover the root of your problem and overcome the blind spots obstructing your fulfillment. Together, we’ll create long-lasting change that transforms every part of your life.
Rest is the foundation for which all healing begins.
FAQs
-
Hypnosis is a powerful state of focused awareness where your subconscious mind can be more easily explored. The practice has been used by the medical community since 1958 to help people overcome chronic pain, depression and anxiety, lifestyle habits, and more.
This state of focused awareness is perfectly normal and natural. In fact, you have likely fallen into hypnosis before and not realized it. Daydreaming, watching a really great movie, or getting into the zone at the gym are all forms of light hypnotic states.
When hypnosis is induced intentionally — either through self-induction methods or with the help of a hypnotist — it can be used to identify, relearn, and heal from limiting beliefs and traumas stored in your subconscious mind. This is what we’ll help you do at Pure Ritam.

During hypnosis, we bypass the conscious mind to go directly to the subconscious mind. In your daily life, the conscious mind acts a bit like a gatekeeper. It compares all new information to what it believes to be true or false, based on past experiences stored in the subconscious. It then tells your body and emotions how to respond. When we are hypnotized, we can bypass that analytical conscious mind to access the subconscious mind and reshape those limiting core beliefs.
The amount of information the subconscious mind can store is limitless, which is what makes the human mind so incredibly powerful. All of your past experiences, memories, learned behaviors, and habits — both good and bad — are stored here.
However, like each of us, the subconscious mind is prone to mistakes. When you’re born, you begin with a blank slate. But as you experience life, the subconscious mind becomes conditioned to react or behave in certain situations. If you face a traumatic event, it can learn irrational responses that are extremely difficult — if not impossible — to overcome by willpower alone, which is ruled by the conscious mind.
For example, if you were bullied for being overweight as a kid, you may cling onto that poor self image or phrases that were repeated to you, even if you are currently physically fit. Hypnosis can help change those responses that hold you back from the life you want to live.

Hypnosis is absolutely safe. In fact, it’s a common state of mind we enter into on a daily basis without realizing it. While under hypnosis, you will have complete control of your body, mind, and spirit. Contrary to the depiction of hypnosis in popular culture, your hypnotist cannot make you do or reveal anything about yourself without your consent and choice.

Hypnotherapy is the applied use of hypnosis for therapeutic purposes. During hypnosis, people are guided by a hypnotist to discover the subconscious reasons for their symptoms, behaviors, or habits. When they are discovered, certain techniques are used to release traumas and relearn a positive way of thinking, subconsciously. This is called hypnotherapy.

Yes. Anyone who is willing to follow gentle instructions can be hypnotized, and everyone has entered into a hypnotic state at some point in their life, such as losing track of time on a long drive.

Hypnosis can be used to help you heal from a wide range of behaviors and beliefs that hold you back from your truth. Some examples are childhood traumas, phobias, low self-esteem, body image issues, sexual dysfunction, smoking, addiction, insomnia, stress, depression, anxiety, and more.

No. While you may feel relaxed during both hypnosis and meditation sessions, that is where their similarities end. Hypnosis is a state of deep focus, intended to help you reach goals and alter specific behaviors and beliefs. Meditation, on the other hand, is a state of deep rest with the intent to rejuvenate the mind and body. Hypnosis can be thought of as a treatment, while meditation is more similar to daily hygiene habits, like brushing your teeth or showering.

Not at all. There will be no swinging pocket watches, blinking eyeglasses, or audiences. You cannot be manipulated to do outrageous or embarrassing acts for others' amusement. Quite the opposite in fact. Hypnosis is a fully consensual state. You will never be unconscious or out of control of your mind or body during our private sessions. Think of it like a driving lesson: you control the car, while your hypnotist guides you like an instructor might in the passenger seat.

For most people, hypnosis feels like a calm state of focus. Your body may feel heavier and relaxed. You may experience a sense of detachment, similar to the feeling you get when you zone out. Hypnosis is for everyone.
